Applied Engineering Phasor sound card for Apple II - complete in box - working!
The Phasor is a 12 voice sound card for the Apple II, II plus, IIe and IIgs, Laser 128. It's compatible with the Mockingboard sound card, which means all Mockingboard-compatible games can use the Phasor to support their enhanced musical soundtracks. Neat, huh?
Sound is provided via not one, not two, not three, but FOUR AY-3-8913 chips, as well as an SSI-263P for voice support: yes that's right, it can even
talk!
Yowza.
The Phasor is usually detected as one Mockingboard by software which supports the Mockingboard. Some software can even detect the Phasor as two Mockingboards, which allow for all 12 voices to be used. Other programs will directly support the Phasor, however the list is much smaller than those that support the Mockingboard.
This auction includes the complete in box Phasor, with all catalogs and floppy disks and manuals, et Cetera, in pretty fantastic shape considering it's all from the 1980s [!]. It's an AUTHENTIC Phasor sound card, not a modern-day clone. And it's recently been tested and found to be in WORKING condition! Yahoo!!
