    The loop side is very soft, and the tape side is softer than typical.
    This tape is a lot less stiff than common hook and loop tape. It also has edge to edge loops, that is, it doesn't have the exposed edges where the loop stops before the tape. Those exposed tape edges frequently cause chafing/skin irritation, so this would be especially suited to applications that involve occasional skin contact.
