    Description

Very early Microchip made by Fairchild Semiconductor around 1967-69!
    1 piece only!
These are part of the RTL (resistor transistor logic) family
and although these were intended for digital circuits,
the electronic experimenters decided to use these
    in analog amplifier circuits too!
    These were manufactured using the
famous GLOB TOP (black epoxy) over
    the integrated circuit.
I have quantities of these including some 8 pin standoffs and sockets
if you want to experiment with these and not solder
    directly to the leads.
Email me with quantities and offers!
These are New Old Stock and have never been used.
Even so, I have to sell these "AS IS" untested with NO RETURNS
although I'm a reasonable person to deal with if some problem arises!
I have the uL923 in another listing.
I have another listing with a variety of other vintage electronics for your collection
    - here is that description:
I have the Fairchild uL914 and uL923 listed for sale but some customers have asked for other vintage parts to add to their collections.  If you are interested in quantities of any of these shown just send me a message and your offer for the quantities you want to buy.  These will be packed in a static protective bag and shipped stuck in protective foam where possible.  I have not tested any of these but the 914s and 923s are from NOS so they should work just fine.  If you require working devices, just let me know and I see what I can arrange to test.  I might have documents of the CTS hybrids but I'm not sure where they are at this time.  The 2N4955 is a dual transistor but does not have any markings other than a red dot on the top.  These are from a package that shows that part number and I have a few that are marked.  They are unique in that they only have 6 leads out of a possible 8 pin locations.  The FPT100 is unique in that you can look down into the clear epoxy and see the transistor, hence the marking Fairchild Photo Transistor FPT.  These are not the "A" version that has a flatter top but truly made using the original "glob top" method of the others with black epoxy coatings.  Some of the date codes are back into the 1960s.
I have quite a few other CTS hybrids if you are looking to add some unique thick film devices to your collection.  The tops can be removed to reveal the inner workings that are quite beautiful in their own right since they often used pure gold as the interconnecting screened wiring film.  Other precious metals such as palladium and platinum were also silk screened onto the white ceramic substrate and fired at high temps to bond it.  The OpAmp Labs 4009 was made for them by CTS using this technique and is a discrete version inside the can.
There is a unique tunnel diode shown in the silver colored package TD 717 and that really small diode with the gold plated Kovar leads.
If you have any other questions just email me and I'll do my best to answer them.
