Description
Up for buy it now is a new IBM / Unicomp Model M122 keyboard that is missing the alpha caps shown. These were originally an overstock item that were manufactured by Lexmark in the early 1990's and Unicomp later swapped out the internals with their modern design and USB controller. Keycaps and case are from the 1990s. Â You will need to source some alpha caps for the main block in order to use it, but it should hold together extremely well as it has new internals with no missing rivets.Of note, since this does have a non-programmable USB controller, if you do want to remap keys, you will need to use something like Karabiner for Mac or Autohotkey for Windows.
Unicomp sells their modern version with a less attractive case for 0+ on their website (I believe you have to pay shipping and tax on top of that), so this is a chance to get it for quite a bit less, only needing to source the missing alpha caps from any Model M or Model F. This can be a great alternative to bolt modding as there are no broken rivets on these and essentially just requires a keycap swap. Plus, these are already converted to USB.
Each lot is for one keyboard shown, and multiple are available.
USA shipping will be calculated based on location.
