    Description

    For sale is a minimal parts kit for building up the basic parallel interface described in the Solid State Music IO-2 manual. This parts kit includes:
    Power supply regulator, heatsink, hardware, and capacitors
    Resistors and bypass capacitors
    All logic for address decode (74LS00 x2, 74LS04, 74LS42, 74LS86, 74LS85)
    8-position DIP switch
    Two Intel 8212 parallel I/O interface ICs
    Two machine pin sockets
    This is a parts kit consisting of largely 1970's technology, so some of the parts are NOS or tested pulls. For example, it's not possible to purchase genuine new Intel 8212 ICs.
    You can find write-ups for a few projects we've done using the SSM IO-2 on our website, along with a scan of the original IO-2 manual. Unfortunately, due to recent eBay policy changes, we can no longer link to any documentation, user guides, or other materials.
