Description
Acknowledgement: This board was designed by Nishida Radio.
This board will let you create a floppy disk emulator SDISK II for the Apple II series computers.
YOU
MUST
GATHER YOU OWN PARTS AND MUST KNOW HOW TO SOLDER SAFELY.
WHAT YOU GET
The PCB board only. The voltage regulator (
Toshiba TA48033S, TA48M033F etc. (3-3.6V regulator whose center pin = GND)
can be hard to get and buying chips from China sellers are not exactly a guaranteed thing. You might want to find a substitute voltage regulator. The micro-controller is the ATMEGA328P. Digikey.com is best place to buy chips! Authentic and decent price. For the HC125, you can use the HCT125 version as well. Don't use 74LSxxx series. Old and hard to find.
I have enough pictures to show you with the right cables. Just a suggestion and you are free to use or not use and I am not responsible for your choice. But: Use the 90-degree header pins as a connector with female-to-female Dupont wires long enough to interface with the Apple II's disk controller. You don't really need female-female cable shown in the last photo.
